The primary aim of this book is to provide a written record of the matrilineal Fehan people of Suai Covalima, Timor-Leste (East Timor). No one has ever written about the matrilineal Fehan people of Suai Covalima, and this book is the first ever written documentation of their matrilineal society. Since the Fehan people's ancestors arrived in Suai Covalima around three thousand years ago, the oral tradition has been the only method of transmitting and preserving their culture and traditions. This oral tradition is still in use today, and we have documented most of it in this book to help preserve the culture for current and future generations.
